The High-Volume Low-Speed fan is shortly known as an HVLS fans. It is a Mechanical Fan that distributes a large amount of air at low rotational speed and its size is at least 7 feet (2.1 m) or greater, hence the name high volume low speed. The fan smoothly mixes the layers of air to maintain a comfortable temperature without raising the heat. It is an effective cooling or heating solution for large spaces. This fan is generally mounted on the ceiling although some are pole mounted.
